POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Ensure completeness and effectiveness of assigned system testing
efforts in compliance with established test processes. Develop system
test plans and test cases including creation and maintenance of
regression test suite. Execute system test cases. Facilitate UAT
planning and execution activities of the business partners. Coordinate
other system testing resources assigned to project or base support
effort. Provide mentoring to less experienced test analysts. Work
with Technical and Business Leads to resolve any identified defects.

with users for UAT - not just testing from a 'user perspective',

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
PLAN SYSTEM AND ACCEPTANCE TESTING
Identify the appropriate strategy, approach, and scope for testing
efforts given business requirements and appetite for risk. Work
with the Project Manager and Business Partners to plan System and
Acceptance Test. Deliver timely testing deliverables to both internal
and external IT customers. Design and develop test plans and scripts
using the detailed business requirements document provided by the
business analysts. Provide estimates for project requests and changes
controls.
EXECUTE SYSTEM TESTING
Assess and revise test cases and scope based upon test results and/or
changes in product design. Ensure that component, system and documentation
testing is coordinated with the appropriate technical groups and
Release Management. Assess readiness and deviation of product/project
performance based upon test results and product specifications.
Ensure that testing is performed in appropriate environments. Partner
with project and application leads to ensure that all testing activities
occur in a timely fashion and to the level of quality demanded by
the governing standards and business requirements. Provide status
and metrics to Test Manager and project team.
FACILITATE USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING
Work with business resources to facilitate execution of user acceptance
testing including availability of necessary test environment.

Coordinate activities of other test resources assigned to current
project. Mentor test analysts on test planning and execution skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years of work related experience with emphasis
in techniques and methodologies relating to user acceptance and
system integration testing.
• Previous experience coordinating a small team of testers,
preferably including resources from operational areas assigned to
a project or base support effort
• Previous experience accessing the testability of requirements
and test readiness based on Business Requirements and Software Design
Documents
• Previous experience establishing test objectives, approaches,
pass/fail criteria in well defined test plans
• Previous experience providing input into QA project schedules,
accomplishing individual assigned tasks, establishing goals and
milestones, and creating accurate weekly status reports
